| Messagewash™ is a technically very complex service. Multiple virus scanning engines and several layers of spam protection create a state of the art total e-mail perimeter protection.
Despite the advanced technologies, the service is very simple for the customer.
With default settings you are good to go, running 5 antivirus engines and catching 95% of all spam. You can also fine-tune options to suit your needs, create custom reports or adjust spam sensitivity if desired.
Configuration is done through a highly intuitive web interface, everything else is managed 24/7 by Messagewash™ staff.

In order to take advantage of Messagewash™ technology, the only thing that needs to be done is adjusting a simple DNS MX* record to point to Messagewash™ instead of the company server. No software or hardware installation needed.

* MX = Mail Exchange Record. Creates a mail route for a domain name. A domain name can have multiple mail routes, each assigned a priority number. The mail route with the lowest number identifies the server responsible for the domain. Other mail servers listed will be used as backups. By changing your domain's MX record to point to Messagewash™, mail gets rerouted to Messagewash™ before getting delivered to your mail server.
As stability and performance are vital to our customers, Messagewash™ is built on Red Hat Enterprise Linux with HP Proliant servers as a platform.
All Messagewash™ servers are hosted in secure hosting facilities with 100Mbit full duplex Internet access. The facilities and servers are fault tolerant in every way possible.
All systems have battery backup.
For longer power outages, separate diesel power systems are installed.
Our hosting facilities provide state of the art fire protection.
